Our libraries are full of novel experiences with new worlds waiting to be explored everyday. With so many choices, how do we choose well? A good recommendation goes a long way, but who has time to read a book just to send you a review? I do!
Once my nieces and nephews started reading, I realized two things. One, it’s hard to find books with both good stories and good values. And two, the reviews out there are sparse and often paid.
I believe Christian authors have begun to fill the middle-grade gap in reading, but the fact remains that it takes loads of wild goose chases to find the pearls. As a counselor with degrees in both Bible and Psychology, it is my joy to evaluate the worth of books and pass that knowledge on to you.
